All my pieces are handmade,
unique and therefore irregular.
Embrace the imperfection.
Proud student of Pots Rome, where I still study and produce my pieces, when in Rome. When in Belgrade, as happens to be the case lately, I keep studying, producing and hanging out with the amazing team of Lazar Rancic school of ceramics.
To me, making ceramics is shaping the clay while letting it shape you. It is not a craft, it’s a romance. The process is a retreat. If we are lucky, we like what we find. The result, when we’re very lucky, can be an epiphany. In less fortunate scenarios, it is growth.
My conscious preference goes to utility, to simple, elegant, preferably irregular, practical objects for everyday use. I do, however, feel deep attraction towards aesthetically superior pieces. And so, I play. I go forth and back, inserting and removing the petals.
